Chat room chatter from Sunday’s rebroadcast gets it’s due. The Olympic’d Out feeling gets analyzed. Lesbian Lounge - August 13, 2008
After a week long absence, the girls come back rehashing their time off -the college road trip and seeing The Dark Knight.
Director, writer, actress Guinevere Turner (“The L Word”) calls in and chats itup with girls- covering everything from a little L Word gossip, to updating Denise on their little short film “Late” which is making the LGBT Film Fest rounds, and what’s up to now that “Itty Bitty” is coming to DVD. Later on, the girls call Cathy DeBuono with a funny request.
Olympic highlights and hotties get discussed in detail. The Bar Tab features a Fuzzy Ass for the Drink of the Week, the Cool Place to Hang is The Grass Cup in Holland, Michigan, and the site of the week is Lesbianation.com as they showcase the hottest women Olympians. TV Talk dwindles once again with arecap of “Weeds” and Denise’s awful VH-1 reality show weekend. Boxer Shorts, the new short film segment takes off with a review of a cute little lesbian short film called “Ex” that you can find on YouTube.
The girls talk up some recent food choices with hilarious emails that detail the meals. Dear Crabby & Abby tackle a listener email, Jemma’s questions get addressed and Denise finds a stinker Online Personal that she shares to

This week the girls cover their weekly emails, and past daily grind stuff before jumping into gay news. The ESPY’s, WNBA scores (and brawls!) get covered. Musician Lori Michaels (“Living My Life Out Loud”) calls in to discuss the new CD, and announce her plans to be in Key West with The Lesbian Lounge for WomenFest 08! The Bar Tab starts out with a rockin’ summer Drink of The Week called The Lunch Box. The cool website of the week is www.strangesisters.com a collection of 50’s lesbian books and art. The Cool Place to Hang was slightly different this week- a website that lists most vegetarian and vegan restaurants all over the map. The panic over decent TV in the summer sets in, as it seems like “Weeds” is the only thing worth staying awake for. The new segments take off this week, as the girls review the indie short film “Break A Leg, Rosie” starring Carly Pope. The Fattie’s Food Review starts off with Denise’s latest obsession: Pei Wei- the Asian Express Diner that spawned from PF Chang. The ladies of “Broom and Gride” call in to let us in on their new business. Always ending on some laughs, the Online Personals from Georgia gets ripped to shreds.

The girls rewind- talk about their week prior and give a review on DJ Harmony’s new lead in 2 hour (7pm-9pm EST) prelude to The Lesbian Lounge which started last week. Jump in the chat room every Wednesday for “In the Mix” with DJ Harmony – for dedications and requests and early chat room fun before the girl talk gets started at 9pm EST. Denise does a mini rant on texting, IM’s, myspace, and emails. The maxi pad experiement continunes. Gay cartoonist Mike Derry (“Troy”) calls in to talk about his art gallery show at Grace Ellay in Silver Lake. News and sports get covered (and a lovely “Ode to Shea Stadium” from WNBA Beth). The Bar Tab includes a fabulous drink called “Devil’s Advocate” and a crunchy granola girl fest in Portland, Oregon called “Women in The Woods”, and Denise’s talks up website Mr. Skin.com where hot girl nudity from just about any movie is featured. TV Talk includes “Weeds”, Chelsea Lately, and The D-List. Musician Rachael Sage calls in to talk about her new CD (from the ladies room at Shea Stadium at a Billy Joel concert!) Jemma’s Questions address the dreaded “bad sex” topic. Rounding out the show – an awful Online Personal.
